A walk deeper into the Virgin River narrows provides an opportunity to slow down and let the water rush by. Using a longer exposure of 1.6 seconds allows me to favor the movement of water against the eons of sandstone. Much of the time I am using a shutter speeds that are a small fraction of a second allowing me to stop time short. I am always looking for ways to imply time and motion in a still image to engage my viewer.
